Company Profile
Created by the joining together of Contic River Cruises and ABC Air, Contic is now one of the largest and most comprehensive tour and travel organizations in Bangladesh. It offers a wide range of services and tour opportunities - from serene river cruises to hill tracks adventure ecotours, from airport 'Meet & Assist' to 4x4, seaplane and speedboat rentals. Expanding world-class hospitality and facilities throughout Bangladesh and the region is our goal.
The Founders
Contic was created in 1997 by Yves and Runa Marre. Yves is a French citizen who besides being with Air France for twenty-five years is an avid and renowned sailor, aviator and inventor. Runa, who hails from an old and distinguished local family, is an innovative writer and educator.
ABC Air, general sales agents of Emirates, Korean Air and a leading travel agent was founded by Alexander Lee. Starting off with his family's restaurant, he gradually expanded into the travel, hospitality and other sectors. Now working together, they offer the most wide-ranged and specialized tour options in the country.
Our Mission
The bottom line of Contic is not the profit margin, but 'service'. Service to those lucky enough to visit this rather neglected country and service to the gracious and courageous people who live here. Last and not least service to preserve and protect the cultural heritage, traditions and the forests, rivers, birds, animals and all the varied aspects that make this country such a unique experience. We want to share this country with you, to provide excellent opportunities and facilities with everything necessary to make your journey to Bangladesh exciting, comfortable and memorable.
